The Old and New Testament

Resources to find answers to questions about The Bible

Moses’ story is found in Exodus. He was a very important person in the Bible for both Jewish and Christian traditions.

Watch the story of Moses

What was the significance of Moses?

What did he do to help his people?

Why do you think he was chosen?

Choose one of the Gospels and read some of the scriptures about the teachings of Jesus. Read the stories that you can relate to in your own life and present a modern day interpretation.

  • Jesus’ miracles and teachings (Mt 4–25; Mk 1–13; Lk 4–19:27; Jn 2–17)

Once you have chosen your stories try to make connections by-

  • Text to text
  • Text to Self
  • Text to World

What are some of the learnings Jesus wanted for his community?

How can you relate to the teachings today? Give some examples.

What connections can you make to your own experiences, feelings and beliefs?

Reflect on the teachings of Jesus and identify the impact of the Word of God on your life and actions

Hello Sybil, From your responses to the questions in your R.E notebook I know that you understood the video. You were able to apply that knowledge by answering all the questions satisfactorily. Keep up the good effort!

    Dear Mrs Cordeiro,

I liked the video even though it was one hour long. It was very interesting and it was sad since Moses died in the end but everyone is supposed to die though. I know how important Moses is in the Old Testament.
